 Comedy weirdness and beer chugging was in the air at The Shit Showcase. One more day of Chicago's first Comedy Exposition. Below you'll find some commuting pics, Wicker Park street art and backstage bitz at Collaboraction. Sadly not a ton of actual performance shots. I officially need a fancier lens to get those low lit jokers in action. 7-12-2014  Swung over to the Tribune Tower to hang with Patti and Craig on the Pretty Late with Patti Vasquez show. I rode shotgun, sans gun. Patti's house band, The Ska-lers, were making with the jamz and Rose from Vito and Nick's brought us pizza from the South Side. Overall, rad night! 7-11-2014  Sorry internet I can't always fake that my life is interesting. I have to do errands. Oh, but the photos are still coming. Quick audition at Claire Simon, "L" commuting, running to the store, some walk and clicks. Mostly I was doing computer crud, writing, functional training and research at the library. EXCITEMENT! 7-9-2014  I got a few street shots around Belmont and Clark before and after the Tuesday night Proxy Morons show at Birds and Blokes. If I continue to take pics in dark comedy venues I'm going to need a different lens. Sorry for the crappy performance shots, friends. No light makes my camera sad. Working on it! Thanks for having me up to sling some new jokes. 7-8-2014  The Texas gals came into Chicago and the Madejas and I took them around the Square and to the Lagoons...and had a tiny shopping spree! 7-7-2014  Weekend hang with the one and only Jen Berg. We swung by Garcia's in Lincoln Square for some lunch and then ran over to the Montrose Dog Beach. Dogs are happy in sand, water and whilst getting headshots from strangers. DOG FACTS! 7-6-2014  This is the final day to look for triangles, which I have been doing very literally. I am now trying to train my eye to look for triangles in the "white" spaces. We'll see. I'm also getting a bit braver and taking pictures of people. Well, children. Stranger's children. Basically I am a real creep for my "street art". Did some "L" shots, Chicago Cultural Center, Michigan Ave. art and peeps, folks on Wabash and back in the Square. 7-5-2014  Most Chicagoans fled the city for the 4th so Jason and I roamed the streets of Southport eating everything in our wake (Well, meat at Tango Sur and scream at DQ.) Then some read comics (Catwoman was the theme of this Independence Day) and made some quick fake inside prism fireworks. Basically, we had a very "retirement home" 4th of July. 7-4-2014  The gals from the Feminine Comique class hit Stage 773 last night.
